ABOUT NETTIE
Nettie has spent her entire legal career representing clients accused of crimes. She quickly developed a reputation as a fierce advocate and aggressive trial lawyer who pursues all possible avenues to the best outcome for her clients. No case is too big or too small for Nettie, and she handles a wide variety of cases – from drug crimes and domestic violence to homicide and sexual assault. Nettie has successfully had criminal cases dismissed, suppressed evidence harmful to her client’s defense, and secured expungements for young offenders. She has taken many cases to jury trials, and secured not guilty verdicts despite troubling evidence against her clients. Nettie started her career during law school, working as a Law Clerk at Hartley Pecora, gaining hands-on experience through a two-year internship in the Milwaukee Public Defender’s Office, and being actively involved in the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic. After graduating from Marquette University Law School, she began working full time as an Associate Attorney at Hartley Pecora. In 2023, after several years of success and hard work, Nettie became a partner at the newly rebranded Hartley Rauch Law Office. Nettie is fluent in Spanish and handles many cases for clients who either do not speak English or prefer speaking in Spanish. She is well-versed in immigration law, and can knowledgeably advise clients who are not citizens of the United States. Nettie understands the impact a criminal case can have on a non-citizen, and strives to resolve cases with as little effect on citizenship status as possible. Nettie volunteers at the Marquette Expungement & Pardon Clinic to assist felony offenders with the pardon application process. She received the Jon Allen Pace Setter Award from the Milwaukee Justice Center for in 2022 for her commitment to furthering access to justice. She has given several people second chances by helping secure governor’s pardons for dated and non-violent felonies.
